Find Your Human Speed

I cannot tell you what to do. I can relate what worked for me as I navigate my human experience. This is an imperfect list that serves as a start.

  1. Slow down and take a breath
    • Become present to your current state of being
    • What is your nervous system telling you: A
      • Are you in fight or flight?
    • Allow thoughts and feelings to come and go. If there is some that keep coming back, use curiosity to ask what message is wanting your attention.
  2. Be curious
    • Curiosity is another human gift that can be found anytime.
    • Is there a want or need I am trying to fulfill?
    • What is the purpose of the actions that I am taking?
  3. Pay attention to your intention
    • Fear has built empires and those empires collapse as soon as individual suffering overcomes the fear of change.
    • FEAR: False Evidence Appearing Real – Perception colours the information coming in.
  4. Patience
    • Give yourself some time to figure things out.
    • This will take discipline and can be hard to accept, and it is worth it.
  5. Trust in yourself
    • You have gotten this far in life by being you.
    • Any anxiety you may feel is a sign that something is important to you.
  6. Seek help when you need it
    • Let go of any story that getting help is a weakness. Humans are social creatures. Our strength is working with other humans.
